Animation、Installation、Space art, 2018-2019
This marks Mr. P's debut public exhibition—a pivotal moment that unfolded in October 2018. Curator Wen Xia presented me with a challenge: could my works
command a 200 square meter space? This query triggered profound contemplation, illuminating the vital role of artistic planning in space the exhibition's essence.
Driven by innovation, I harnessed fiber optic filaments to transcend spatial constraints. They seamlessly interwove the animated projection wall with the entire
exhibition expanse, beckoning a dynamic interaction with the audience. Their participation etched in the memory of these luminous threads, making them an
integral part of the grand exhibition.
The synergy with the exhibition team yielded three days of meticulous arrangement, culminating in a breathtaking spatial effect—a feast for the eyes and minds.
The audience's enthusiastic reception was a testament to its success.
Rooted in Mr. P's captivating narrative, a cosmic lightning beam pierces our three-dimensional world, uniting with coils of a utility pole to forge the enigmatic
figure—Mr. P himself. In homage to this tale, two telegraph poles adorned the exhibition hall's heart. Beneath their roots, thousands of optical fiber filaments
extending on the floor.
Over two months of heartfelt exploration, the audience tread carefully on the shimmering fibers, leaving behind a constellation of traces—refracted light where
the filaments were trodden. The exhibition hall's floor, now adorned with stardust-like patterns, became a living testament to the indelible mark the audience
had left on Mr. P's story.
These memories, imbued with emotions and spatial connections, transcended the boundaries of individual experiences. They seamlessly merged into the very
fabric of the exhibition, casting its enchanting spell on every visitor, making them voyagers in this artistic odyssey.
